About Ethical Property

Ethical Property raises social impact investment to purchase, refurbish and manage properties, delivering a solid financial, social and environmental return.

Bringing together purpose-driven organisations allows Ethical Property to offer shared resources such as meeting and conference rooms, IT infrastructure and back office services at an affordable rate. It also creates vibrant communities and opportunities for partnerships and joint projects.

Ethical Property Australia is the newest member of the international Ethical Property family. Originally established in the UK in 1998, the family now comprises sister companies operating in four countries.

Starting in Melbourne with Donkey Wheel House, extending to Endeavour House in Canberra and now looking to Sydney, Ethical Property will be raising more investment through the Ethical Property Commercial Fund to establish more new centres to support not-for-profits, campaigning organisations, social enterprises and charities across Australia.

We believe that every action we take and every decision we make as a business should be based on the “triple bottom line” of People-Planet-Profit, reflecting the values we aspire to, not just the financial return. Complete transparency and honesty allows us to identify issues, address them, control ethical performance and celebrate real success. Ethical Property seeks the creation of an equal and just society through the provision of space which supports the work of organisations with the same goal. This also means treating all people equally and with respect. It involves working to remove all access barriers to their properties, to the services provided by Ethical Property and by their tenants, to the jobs they offer, and to investment in the company.

Ethical Property seeks to create a sustainable society by encouraging sustainable behavior, building both physical and social structures that leads to a sustainable lifestyle with a positive environmental impact, using only their fair share of the planet’s resources.
