Job Description:

Ellevate Network is looking for a Chapter Operations Manager to work with our mid-sized and new/emerging chapters.  This position is an opportunity to be part of a structural change in the organization, have a direct impact in growing the footprint of Ellevate, and develop membership benefits and programming.

As the key relationship manager for some of the volunteer Chapter Leadership teams, the Chapter Operations Manager is tasked with maintaining Ellevate’s brand consistency while encouraging regional “style” in order to deliver the very best experience for our volunteers and members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Membership growth and retention via high-touch customer service and outreach in assigned chapters

  • Work closely with Director of Membership to develop Ellevate’s regional expansion, determining key markets, and identifying potential local leaders.

  • Lead training, development and planning for the successful launch of new chapters.

  • Support and encourage new and existing chapters to develop self sufficiency, improve volunteer satisfaction, and decrease volunteer turnover to enable the Network to scale

  • Manage chapter/headquarters relationship:

    • Hold monthly calls with volunteers serving as chapter leaders

    • Consistent email check-in with chapters before and after events as well as for other issues

    • Training new chapter leader volunteers (through training videos and training calls)

    • Maintaining up-to-date chapter leader records

  • Assisting local chapters on launch of new event products in their regions

  • Support local chapters through their event planning and execution, including identifying and negotiating with venues; managing event P&L; developing event topics and sourcing speakers; coordinating with local event sponsors; marketing event and managing registrations.

  • Assist in managing relationships with other women’s organizations, foster relationships with Chapter leaders, local media, influencers and press

  • The right candidate must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a positive outlook.

  • Able to work with different personalities, across regions, and to manage volunteers effectively

  • Excellent communication skills essential

  • Excellent operations or project management abilities.

  • Creative thinking and the ability to proactively develop new ideas, solve problems, and motivate chapter leaders and members

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Self-starter determined to succeed

  • Must be a confident, capable multitasker

  • Able to work independently or as part of a lean, flexible team

  • Results-focused
