People make the movement: our reflections from B Corp Month 2026

Joanna Adjetey De Palma, Engagement Manager, looks back on B Corp Month

Throughout B Corp Month, we’ve seen businesses of all sizes and sectors come together across the country around a shared belief: that business can, and should, benefit people and the planet.

While B Corps create meaningful and lasting impact throughout the year, B Corp Month is a time to reflect, share insights and deepen the collective understanding of the movement. Most importantly, it's when people come together to celebrate and to prove: people make the movement.

Community at the heart

From large-scale gatherings to intimate local meetups, connection has been at the centre of this year's celebrations, and so has a collective commitment to raising the bar.

B Local Scotland kicked off the month with a parliamentary reception ahead of the Scottish Election, hundreds of purpose-driven businesses gathered in Bristol for PurposeFest, and 200 people joined us at Somerset House for a B Social that sparked new ideas and connections. Across 14 B Local hubs, events focused on the new standards, leadership and climate action, creating space for CEOs and senior leaders alike to go deeper on what it takes to build genuinely better businesses.

Because the bar is rising. B Corps are operating in an environment of increasing scrutiny and challenging expectations, and this month reflected that reality head-on. Panels on women in leadership, hands-on workshops on emissions and storytelling, and honest conversations about the tensions of purpose-led business — leaders came together not just to connect, but to share innovative approaches to navigating a demanding landscape.

But beyond panels and conference stages, that energy came to life in quieter, equally powerful ways. Teams found creative approaches to bring their people into what it truly means to be a B Corp. Businesses gave back through volunteering days, funded library buses, and created new spaces for learning and connection.

Whether over breakfast, at roundtables, or packed auditoriums, the message was clear: we move further, together.

Behind the symbol

This month has shown just how powerful the B Corp logo really is. Across the UK, the "B" became a visible, collective signal of a different kind of business.

It travelled through central London on the back of an Electric Vintage truck, appeared in The Guardian, and showed up in Waitrose and the Co-op. And with our renewed partnership with Channel 4 - who are actively platforming B Corps to millions of viewers - that visibility is only growing.

But reach alone doesn't make a symbol powerful. What sits behind the "B" is a community of businesses that have chosen a harder path: higher standards, accountability, and a genuine commitment to people and planet. Every time the logo appears, it carries that weight. It's more than just a mark of certification; it's proof that another way of doing business is not only possible, but already here.

Carrying it forward

B Corp Month may be coming to an end, but the movement it represents continues every day. If this month has shown us anything, it's that real change doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when people come together with shared purpose, openness, and a willingness to keep improving.

Behind every logo is a business that chose a harder path, and a community that keeps raising the bar together. That doesn't stop when the month does.
