Ben Thorne

Ben is Founder & Managing Director of KEYSTONE, a specialist sustainability consultancy helping businesses turn environmental and social ambitions into measurable action. He has more than 15 years’ experience across sustainability, environmental management and responsible business, combining strategic advice with practical implementation.

A particular focus is B Corp. Over the past six years, Ben has supported more than 25 businesses across diverse sectors through certification, with a 100% first-attempt success rate. His work spans gap analysis, improvement planning, evidence development, audit preparation, certification and recertification.

Through KEYSTONE, Ben also advises companies on sustainability and ESG strategy, carbon footprinting, science-based emissions reduction, net zero planning, environmental management systems and sustainability communications, helping leadership teams strengthen governance, data, policies and reporting.

Before founding KEYSTONE, Ben spent eight years in Cambodia leading environmental, conservation and community programmes. He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), B Corp Consultant, published environmental scientist, and an alumni of the World Economic Forum 'Global Shapers Community'.

Today, he supports businesses to navigate sustainability standards, improve performance and build credible approaches to people, planet and long-term resilience.
