I'm Jayne, co-founder of Black Skies Blue, a serious-about-sustainability consultancy co-operative in Edinburgh. We're a certified B Corp, so we've sat on your side of the table too.

My background is numbers. I'm a Chartered Management Accountant with a Masters in Environmental Economics and experience in climate risk. I'm at home in the governance, data and evidence side of B Corp, and I'll explain it in plain English.

Certification is a milestone, not the finish line. We work with you not for you, so B Corp gets built into how your business is run, and you come out capable, not just certified.

How we work:

• Kick-Off: a gap analysis against the new standards and a prioritised improvement plan, so you know exactly where you stand and the right route for you;

• Certification Companion: monthly support, reviewing what you've drafted, answering questions, keeping things moving and seeing you through submission and verification;

• Training: on the new standards and on embedding them into governance, for boards, leadership teams or whoever's leading B Corp internally.

I've helped over 20 businesses through certification, and support existing B Corps preparing to recertify under the new standards. I also lead and deliver Edinburgh B Corp 500, a funded group programme for Edinburgh businesses.
