Sophie Brooks

Sophie is a senior sustainability consultant and co-founder of Philosophy Consulting. She first trained with B Lab UK in 2019, and since then has worked with more than 25 clients to support them on their B Corp journeys, along with providing ad hoc and pro bono support for the B Curious community in Oxfordshire. Sophie’s skill lies in helping her clients to identify both impact and commercial opportunities in the framework, bringing deep expertise in some of the newer areas of requirement such as Purpose and Stakeholder Governance, Human Rights and Collective Action.

A passionate believer in the power of business to find solutions to the most urgent social and environmental challenges we face, she has focused a large part of her career on helping organisations to define, articulate and embed their profitable purpose.

After a successful career in PR leading corporate communications for businesses such as Microsoft, Coca-Cola and Intel Corp, in 2012 she earned a distinction in her MSc in Climate Change at University of Reading which cemented her scientific and socio-economic understanding of sustainability.

Alongside B Corp, Sophie has built a portfolio of strategy work, including long-term target setting and delivery frameworks, materiality assessments, regulatory landscape scanning, Green Claims advisory & complex ESG reporting. She has advised dozens of household names including Microsoft, The Body Shop, Renault, JLR, Aviva, Swarovski and Daylesford Organic.
