Head of Growth
Our over consumption of clothing is fuelling an environmental and human rights crisis- but clothing brands like UK based Baukjen are modelling a new way of doing business. A commitment to slow fashion, carbon neutrality, and ethical supply chain management are challenging industry norms.
Finance & Operations Coordinator
I find Easthall Farm so inspiring! They encompass what it means to be a B Corp: conserving heritage, enhancing biodiversity, supporting local economies and increasing wellbeing for those who live locally.
Community Engagement Manager
Stories about the impact created when B Corps meet and collaborate across industries and sectors, motivate me every day. Yala Jewellery's approach to supply chain transparency and relationship-building is particularly inspiring!
If I have to choose I would say COOK. I’ve spoken to countless business leaders who have been inspired by COOK - by the profound commitment to mission than runs through every part of the business and its leadership.
Business Sustainability Specialist
I really admire Finisterre. I share their love for the sea and want to protect the ocean. I appreciate Finisterre's commitment to a circular system and how they develop new manufacturing techniques.
World of Books are pioneers in the re-use and recycling of unwanted books, reusing around 12 million books and recycling about 80 million books each year, an equivalent saving to 500,000 trees.
Director of Finance & Operations
As well as delicious peanut butter, I think Whole Earth are great pioneers and leaders – producing planet-friendly food for decades.
Management Team Administrator
Innocent Drinks have always stood out for me. On top of making their products recyclable and sustainable, they create meaningful collaborations and skill building with consumers and charities which benefit those causes and the planet.
A difficult decision but... I find it inspiring how Divine Chocolate's mission goes beyond selling delicious chocolate. It is committed to fighting exploitation in cocoa supply chains and is co-owned by its Ghanian farmers, meaning they receive a share of the company's profits.
I admire Just As You Are (JAYA) for the way it advocates conscious habit building to empower young women through entirely sustainable skincare. It's doing a wonderful job of disrupting the beauty industry in a constructive way!
Marketing & Communications Manager
I’m a big fan of climate pledge platform, Do Nation, and the story about how the B Corp community reignited the company in its earlier days (check out our blog). I love the mantra that small actions can make a big difference.
For me, Triodos Bank is inspiring as it embodies the B Corp ethos. Every pound spent is a vote, and this is at the heart of Triodos' values and mission to make change.
It's got to be Y.O.U Underwear, who are on a mission to change the world one pair of undies at a time! They support a range of great causes and have an impressive BIA score of 160.5!
Head of Community
It has to be COOK - their RAW Talent programme helps people into work after prison or homelessness, and their delicious food has been a lifesaver in my first year as a parent!
Director of Growth & Product
For me it's Kin + Carta. B Corp is about leaders, and as the first B Corp on the London Stock Exchange, they're leading by example...other companies will follow in their footsteps!
Business Sustainability Analyst
I love the story behind Belazu's origins and the Belazu Foundation's work ensuring disadvantaged children have access to education and healthy food. I'm also a big fan of their harissa pastes!
Engagement and Insights Coordinator
I love Hubbub's use of playful nudges to drive action. Their Ballot Box ashtray cuts litter by asking smokers to vote with their rubbish, e.g. "Who will get further in the Euros? England or Wales?"
Customer Success Coordinator
Greyston Bakery - their Open Hiring concept is so inspiring and has given many people a second chance in life. Plus, they supply Ben & Jerry's cookie dough - what's not to love?!
Partnerships & Product Manager
One+all, a Greater Manchester-based schoolwear company, live and breath B Corp values. They are also great advocates in the region, promoting change across different business networks.
Business Sustainability Analyst
Too Good To Go connects users with surplus food from businesses at a discount price - that would otherwise go to waste. It's innovative and benefits everyone involved, including the planet! Their Instagram account also has super useful tips on eating seasonally and saving food waste at home.
Social Media Coordinator
It's so hard to chose as I'm a fan of so many! I would have to go for Who Gives a Crap - not only do they deliver eco-friendly toilet roll to your house, but they donate 50% of profits to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world.
BBA Campaign Manager
Oddbox rescue 'wonky' fruit and veg from going in the bin - I love their delivery boxes which contain a surprise mix of veggies and encourage me to cook new things whilst helping reduce food waste.
Business Sustainability Analyst
I'm a fan of Equinox Kombucha, a B Corp local to me, producing delicious organic kombucha. Sustainability is at the heart of their mission and I admire their support for local causes in the Calder Valley.
4ocean's mission to clean up plastic is so important. They've already removed 8 million kgs of rubbish, plus they give lots of great tips on how to live sustainably.
Director of Marketing & Communications
Madlug are a luggage company with a 'buy one, give one' model that helps give dignity to children in care. They make great bags and I love their story and impact.
Toast is a really inspiring B Corp. They combat food waste by using surplus bread to brew fantastic beer and donate their profits to fix key issues in our food system.
Tony’s Chocolonely inspires me the most not only because of my love for chocolate but for their mission to make themselves & other chocolate brands 100% slave free. They raise awareness of child labour & slavery.
Head of Community (Maternity Cover)
An exciting position working with business to transform our economic system for the benefit of all. The Head of Community will play a vital role in B Lab UK’s long-term success by enabling the B Corp community to thrive and lead the way in using business as a force for good.
The role sits within the Community team and is responsible for working with the businesses in the UK B Corp Community to offer a positive and engaging community experience, enabling them to share best practice and engage with the wider B Corp community and movement.
