Could your company be the next B Corp?
We’re offering the chance to win free B Corp Certification, and expert support through the application process, to UK businesses underrepresented in the B Corp movement.
What are B Corps?
B Corps are companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. They also experience improved growth, strong employee engagement and secure new partnerships.
Women and founders of colour are more likely to run purpose-driven companies. Despite being leaders in this movement, they are underrepresented in the B Corp community. Right now, only 27% of B Corps are women-owned (compared to 33% of UK businesses overall), and only 1 in 13 B Corps are owned by a founder of colour. We also know that LGBTQ+ and disabled leaders are less visible within our movement.
As part of our journey to changing this, we’re offering the chance to win free B Corp Certification, and expert B Leader support through the application process, to UK businesses led by people of colour, women, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
What are we offering?
- Free B Corp Certification for 3 years and expert B Leader support to complete your B Impact Assessment for one winner
- Free B Leader support for 3 months to seven runner-ups (5 x 1-hour sessions to help you prepare your application)
Eligibility for the giveaway:
- The entry must be on behalf of a UK company that has been in operation for a minimum of 12 months and has an annual revenue of less than £5 million.
- The company must qualify for our equity discount, which means it is at least 50% owned by individuals from one or more of the following groups:
- People of Colour or other under-represented ethnicities
- Women, trans, or non-binary individuals
- Individuals with disabilities
- Members of the LGBTQ+ community
*To receive the free certification, winners will still be required to meet B Corp eligibility and standards by submitting their B Impact Assessment. Entries from existing B Corps will not be counted.
Why are we offering this?
As part of our journey towards building a more inclusive B Corp movement, we’re offering the chance to win free B Corp Certification and expert B Leader support to UK businesses led by people of colour, women, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
